A few weeks ago my wife and I ventured out with our youngest son on Our Lake District Adventure. This time we were off to Walla Crag, starting at the National Trust car park at Great Wood, we followed the National Trust route up to the top.
My son who is only 5 years old did a great job making his way up the hills, climbing the rocks and being the leader.
Compared to the other routes we have taken so far, I would say it was a fairly easy route. There was however some challenging sections where the hills were steep and looked like they would never end. Thoroughly enjoyed the walk and our son thought it was "Epic", his words. And the thing he was most proud of was being able to say he has completed another Wainwright.
At this point I think I have now completed 4 Wainwrights and my kids have managed 2 each, my wife completing 3 so far. We are determined to complete them all. Only between 210 and 212 to go.
Along the way I took several photos with my iPhone 7 and my Nikon D750.
I also had another go at putting a video together, documenting the journey to the top, with my son of course being the star of the show. I think I would have been in trouble if he wasn't, he wouldn't have let me forget it. Hehe.
I have shared the video for you to see on YouTube and embedded it below.
