About two months ago, here in the Lake District we had a visit from Storm Callum. It was a miserable few days with high winds and lots of rain.
We had been practically house bound during the storm and needed to get outside and back to exploring the Lake District scenery. The day after Storm Callum passed over was a completely different day, no wind, no rain and gorgeous blue sky. What a difference a day makes? So the family and I decided to get out of the house and explore somewhere new, somewhere we hadn't been before, which led us to Ennerdale.
Ennerdale is a beautiful place with lots to explore. Water levels were noticeably higher than usual at Ennerdale where paths were found underwater and alternative routes had to be taken. We will definitely be going back, especially as we didn’t manage to make it all the way round.
I still managed to capture some images with my camera though, plus it was another opportunity to use my new GoPro Hero 7 to capture our adventure.
Below are some of those images and the GoPro footage. Hope you like them.
